Electrical Configuration: Both units require a 120 volt power source, using a single phase 15 Amp breaker. They are shipped with a standard 12 ft. long/3 prong electrical plug that can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet.
Heating Element: One 1200 watt 120v heating element delivers heat to the cabinet’s interior. The heating unit’s access & temperature of 150F, with 70F ambient room air temperature. The heating element is mounted to the heater using 20-guage cold rolled steel mounting brackets. The heaters air outlet, also constructed of 20-guage steel, evenly distributes heated air throughout the interior of the cabinet.
Blower Motor: The blower motor is bolted to the top frame under the unit’s top cover. An axel fan is utilized to blow an approximate mixture of 50% fresh % 50% recirculated air across the heating element.
Ventilation: Ventilation is at the user’s discretion. However, both units have a 4” diameter opening on the top of the cabinet, if ducted ventilation is desired by the user.
Inducted Air: There is a 7.5” x 2” opening on the top of the cabinet, located 1 ¾”-3 ¾” from right sidewall and centered from the front to the back of the unit.
Cabinet Construction: Model SDC-5 has a white powder coat finish steel cabinet and door, and Model SDCSS-5 has a stainless steel cabinet and door.
*For both adequate incoming air & ventilation, it is recommended to have a minimum of 4” of clearance above the top of the cabinet to any ceiling, and at least 2” of clearance from any walls from the back and sides of the cabinet. The minimum suggested enclosed space to install the cabinet within is 71.5” H x 27.5”W x 26.5” D, is the unit will be used in a confined space ( with an open front area only, or a door that can be opened during use to allow proper ventilation of air).
